The Font residence is conceived as an H-plan on multiple levels, with inverted gables or “butterfly roofs” supported on a concrete frame that resembles traditional heavy timber construction. Wooden louvers, screens, and ceramic tiles give the house a sense of comfort and flexibility that is in direct contrast to the massive masonry structure.
